Garden Dreaming Workshop
It all begins with an idea.
It was a beautiful day for an outdoor workshop (SB Garden Project’s first!). When I imagined this workshop I imagined craftsy, dreamy, creative vibes. We would flip through seed catalogues and magazines and dream up our gardens together.
The reality of the workshop did not disappoint. We sat underneath the oak trees in the dappled shade at a long outdoor dining table. Babies and toddlers amongst us, we settled into silence for a short meditation in which we imagined ourselves in our dream gardens. We shared our gardening goals and then we got to work.
We shared flower-pressed cookies, strangers became neighbors, and we used our hands to create works of art and inspiration.
When I reflect back on the workshop I’m so grateful for the participants. As I sit here writing this the next morning I am bursting with gratitude. I actually can’t contain it. So, I think I’ll release this energy in the garden. Get my hands in the soil and plant. Plant a vision for tomorrow and all of the tomorrows that follow.
